Rome, June 12, IRNA – Iran?s negotiating team comprising deputy foreign ministers Seyyed Abbas Araqchi and Majid Takht Ravanchi as well as other senior negotiators left Rome for Tehran on Thursday night.
The Iranian negotiating team had arrived in Rome on Wednesday to take part in bilateral talks with senior Italian officials and also discuss the latest developments in Iran?s talks with the six world powers (the US, Russia, France, China and Britain plus Germany).
The Iranian negotiators met with Italian Foreign Minister Federica Mogherini and discussed the latest status of Iran-Group 5+1 talks.
During the meeting, the Italian foreign minister expressed the hope that Iran-world powers talks will bear result by July 20.
?We are optimistic about achieving a final agreement on Iran?s nuclear program until July 20 and believe that in view of the positive role that Iran can play in the Middle East, after reaching a final agreement, the situation in the Middle East will also change,? Mogherini said.
