More than 5,000 iron ore miners in Bafgh ended their sit-in protest on its 39th day when their demands were met.
ILNA reports that one of the ministers said on Wednesday that the Yazd governor had appeared at the sit-in and provided the protesters with a written order canceling the sale of 28.5 percent of Bafgh Central Iron Ore Mine shares to the private sector.
He added that the miners ended their sit-in after winning their most important demand.
The Yazd governor’s office announced that the administration has succeeded in getting the miners back to work through wise negotiations.
