TEHRAN July 8 (Shana)--Imam Khomeini Refinery is exporting 300 tons of granulated sulfur a day, the refinery’s manager said.
“Following the implementation of Imam Khomeini Refinery development project, 300 tons a day of sulfur is recovered from this refinery,” Ali Shirazizadeh said.
“Sulfur recovery in this company boosts gasoline and gasoil standards while generating value-added,” he said.
Shirazizadeh said the refinery is currently producing 16 ml/d of euro-4 grade gasoline and 12 ml/d of euro-4 grade gasoil.
He also said that no-flaring operations are envisaged in this refinery in order to safeguard the environment.
Shirazizadeh said flare gas gathering would earn the country 10 million dollars, adding that a contractor has promised to carry out the project in two years.
