Iran is planning to hold an international conference on contributions of documentary films to Iranian archaeology at the capital city of Tehran.
The conference titled the International Conference of Documentary Film and Iranian Archaeology is to host many filmmakers and experts from around the world to discuss on the issue through the produced films and documentaries.

The gala will be organized by Iran’s Documentary and Experimental Film Center (DEFC) in collaboration with the Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Organization (CHTHO).

“Role of Documentary Films in Introducing Archaeology”, “What Is Documentary Film of Archaeology”, “Connection between Documentary and Archaeology”, and “Documentary and History of Archaeological Researches” are among the articles to be discussed in the conference.

The conference is scheduled to take place at the National Museum of Iran from January 5 to 7, 2015.
