Tehran, Sept 17, IRNA -- Secretary of Iran?s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Shamkhani said on Wednesday that Iran did not accept Denmark ínvitation to join the US-led coalition against the Islamic State terror group set up by some western and Arab governments.
Shamkhani made clear that those who created the Islamic State terror group in fact tried to secure the Israeli borders.
The majority of those partaking in anti-Daesh coalition asserted that the Islamic Republic of Iran plays a significant role in campaign against terrorism in Iraq.
Since members of anti-Daesh terror group are at odds, they will fail to carry out their missions, he said.
The Islamic Republic of Iran is the vanguard in campaign against terrorism; he said adding that Iran is to continue its support to the Iraqi and Syrian governments to suppress the terror groups.
If they were serious in their struggle against terrorists, the problem would have resolved by this time, he said.
The Iraqi campaign followed by the edicts of the religious leaders and mobilizing the people comprising of Shia, Sunni, Kurds, Turkmen and Christians in Iraq are the root cause of failure of the Islamic State terror group, Shamkhani said.
Under such circumstances there is no need for the aliens to stay in the region and fight with Takfiri terrorist groups, he said.
