Iran freestylers grab 4 medals of all colors

TEHRAN, Oct. 06 (MNA) – Iranian freestyle wrestlers have gained 4 gold, silver and bronze medals in world tournaments going on in Russia.

In 2014 Wrestling World Championships in Yakutsk on October 4-5, Iran won 1 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals.


Iran’s Amir Mohammadi of class 97 kg won the gold medal of his own class. Hossein Shahbazi of the same class won the bronze medal of this round of championship. Also Younes Sarmasti of class 57 kg won a bronze medal to make it 3 for the Iranian team.


Also Pouya Rahmani in class 125 kg won a silver medal back home to make it the 4thmedal out of 8 Iranian wrestlers competing in this round of tournaments.


Wrestlers from Iran, Russia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Ukraine, Macedonia, Lithuania, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Poland and Bulgaria are the competitors of this round of 2014 Wrestling World Championships in Yakutsk.
