TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon Mohammad Fathali said Lebanese Defense Minister Samir Moqbel plans to visit Iran in the near future.
Fathali also said that he has made the required arrangements for Moqbel's upcoming trip to Iran.
Fathali has already said Iran's 'military gift' to Lebanon is ready in Iranian depots.
He made the remarks in a meeting with Lebanese Democratic Party Leader Talal Arslan, where he expressed the hope that the gift would be sent to Lebanese army after legal procedures in official organizations in Lebanon.
He added that the gift includes needs of Lebanese army, such as weapons and equipment.
He also expressed the hope that the gift would back Lebanese army in confronting terrorists, Egyptian Al Bawaba News Website reported.
Iran and Lebanon enjoy cordial relations and have further expanded these ties in recent years.
The two sides have exchanged several delegations of high-ranking officials in the last three years.
