Beirut, Oct 16, IRNA -- Lebanon's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Samir Moqbel says he plans to visit Iran to study the arms that Iranian army is going to grant to Lebanon army as a gift.
Speaking to reporters on Thursday evening, Moqbel said he would go to Tehran heading a military delegation and would report to Lebanese government on the type and importance of the gift arms.
On September 30, Secretary of Suprene National Security Council Ali Shamkhani said in Beirut that Tehran is to provide military equipment to the Lebanese army for the fight against terrorism.
Over the past months, Lebanon has been suffering from terrorist attacks by al-Qaeda-linked militants as well as random rocket attacks, which are viewed as a spillover of the conflict in Syria.
