Iranian short production The Next Morning has garnered award at the 24th Black International Cinema Berlin in Germany.
Directed by Ali Hashemi, the film took the best expressionist narration award of the event.
The 24-mintue drama, The Next Morning narrates the story of a girl who wakes up to perform her daily routine, but a strange event has happened in her life as she finds that nobody recognizes her.
The film is Hashemi’s second short film after Wish and was screened at several international film events such as the 2014 Zanzibar International Film Festival in Tanzania.
The Black International Cinema Berlin focuses on presenting works of an artistic, cultural and political nature.
