Tehran, Nov 17, IRNA – Russian State Duma Speaker Sergey Naryshkin said on Monday that Iran is a reliable partner of Russia in light of international law.
Speaking to IRNA, Naryshkin said Moscow considers Tehran as its reliable partner, attaching great importance to it in regional security equations.
He said that Moscow is interested in cooperation with Tehran in campaign against drug smuggling, terrorism and organized crimes.
He said that Iran and Russia enjoy high potentials for economic cooperation, especially in the field of energy, including nuclear energy, gas production and transport to put into operation the South-North corridor.
He noted that expansion of trade-economic relations between Iran and Russia and cooperation to carry out economic development projects on the regional level would be highly effective to support economic development of the Middle East and Central Asia.
