TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran came second place in the 7th Sanda World Cup on Friday held in Jakarta, Indonesia.



The Iranian delegation won six gold medals and one silver and came second behind China.

Host Indonesia finished in third place.

Soheila Mansourian in the Women's -52kg, Shahrbanoo Mansourian in Women’s -70kg, Jafar Shirzad in Men’s -65kg, Hamid Reza Lador in Men’s -80kg, Hamid Reza Gholipour in Men’s -85kg and Mostapha Khalatbari in Men’s +90kg won the gold medals and Maryam Hashemi in Women’s 65kg claimed a silver medal.

A total of 57 athletes from 18 countries and regions took part in the World Cup from November 20 to 21.
