TEHRAN, Nov. 23 (MNA) – Hush! Girls Don’t Scream directed by Iranian filmmaker Pouran Derakhshandeh will be screened at the fifth Turkey's Malatya International Film Festival on November 22, 24 and 26.
Jury members in the festival include chairman of the jury Kemal Sunal, film critic Kerim Akjeh, journalist and writer Yildiz Ramazanoghlu, director Ismail Gunes and actor Gorkim Yiltan. After watching and evaluation of feature and short films in the competitive section of the festival, the jury will donate Crystal Apricot award and cash prizes to the winners in various sectors, including best picture, best director, best actor, best actress, best screenplay, best international film, best short film and best documentary.
More than 100 feature films, short fictions, documentary and experimental films will compete in Malatya International Film Festival Chaired by the Governor of Malatya.
In its last international appearance, Hush! Girls Don’t Scream was screened at the American International Independent Film Awards ceremony in autumn and won the Diamond Award for best narrative feature film.
