Gorgan, Golestan Prov, Dec 2, IRNA – President Hassan Rouhani on Tuesday gave an upbeat forecast about economic boom in Iran saying that major world companies and investors are waiting for new conditions in Iran to resume economic cooperation with Iran.
The president, who is on a visit to the northern province of Gorgan, said that he had made every effort to restore hope and stability in the market since he took office in August 2013.
Iran is on a transition from the state economy to privatization which requires the government to take major steps, Rouhani said, calling on the private sector to make its contributions.
Referring to his meetings with foreign investors on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland and the UN General Assembly meeting in New York earlier this year, Rouhani said that all big investors across the world are willing to be present in Iran.
He likened the capital and economy to a cloud that starts raining when it comes to a fertile land, but, does rain over a desert.
