London, Dec 19, IRNA – British non-resident Chargé d'Affaires in Iran Ajay Sharma wrote in his twitter page on Friday that he had useful meetings in Tehran during his recent visit of Iran.
The British diplomat wrote that his last week visit of Iran was really delightful for him.
Sharma continued that during his visit of Iran he had useful meetings with a number of Iranian officials and expressed hope that more progresses in improvement of bilateral ties will soon be achieved.
In a short message in his twitter page, Sharma had already written that he had good meetings with his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Hassan Habibollahzadeh in Tehran.
In the meeting, the two sides discussed issues of mutual interst, such as the Iranian nuclear program, the human rights issue and regional developments.
Relations between Iran and Britain are currently in the level of non-resident chargé d'affaires phase and the UK Embassy in Tehran is still closed.
