Tehran, Dec 25, IRNA - About 47 million people in Iran eat “unhealthy foods”, a deputy health minister said.
Dr. Ali Akbar Sayyari also said on Wednesday, “using unhealthy foods means low consumption of fruits and vegetables and high consumption of fat, sugar and salt”.
He noted that each Iranian uses an average of 10 to 12 grams of salt daily, which should be below five grams.
Sayyari also warned against the use of non-standard salts.
