Tehran, Jan 5, IRNA – Secretary General of the World Assembly on Proximity among Islamic Sects says the Palestinian issue and the Palestinian resistance will be the core issue in the upcoming 28th International Conference on Islamic Unity in Tehran.
Ayatollah Mohsen Araki was answering a question posed by qodsna.com on the relevant programs in the international meeting for promotion of the Palestinian issue.
The religious authority said the conference will have a special session on the role of Muslim scholars in the fight against the Zionist regime and its allies.
The secretary general added that the debate session is planned to be capped with a number of practical decisions in support of the regional resistance against the Zionist regime.
The 28th International Conference on Islamic Unity will be held in Tehran from January 7-9 to focus on Muslim world issues.
He said 300 great personalities from the Muslim as well as 300 Shia and Sunni figures in Iran will take part in the event.
Araki said that nine working committees have been formed to deal with a variety of subjects to be presented in the conference.
