Tehran, Jan 8, IRNA – Speaker of the People’s National Assembly of Algeria Mohamed al-Arab Weld Khalifa has said Algiers supports Tehran’s legitimate right to possess peaceful nuclear energy.
Weld Khalifa made the remarks in a meeting with Iran’s Ambassador to Algeria Reza Ameri.
The two discussed latest developments in bilateral parliamentary ties as well as major regional and international issues.

The Algerian MP referred to Tehran-Algiers ties as acceptable while stressing the need for further promotion of economic and commercial cooperation between the two capitals.

The Iranian ambassador, for his part, outlined Tehran’s views on promotion of Iran-Algeria relations.

Ameri stressed the effective role played by Iranian and Algerian parliaments in boosting bilateral cooperation.
