Tehran, Jan 8, IRNA – Foreign Ministry deputy for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir Abdollahian underscored Iran’s support for the Palestinian resistance.
He made the remarks in a meeting with the member of Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, political bureau Jamal Issa here Thursday.
He said Iran will never stop providing support to Palestine and its resistance groups.
The official said that Iran’s view toward resistance is a strategic and principled one which is also detailed and precise.
The issue of Palestine and the Holy Qods has always been a major obsession with Iran and at the top of its foreign policy agenda, he added.
Pointing to the crimes of the Tel Aviv regime, he said Iran’s backing for the resistance in Palestine is based on the achievements of its own Islamic Republic and its broad outlook of the issue which is based on religious and ideological fundamentals.
The foreign ministry official further stressed the need for the Palestinian resistance groups to strengthen their Jihadi readiness for adopting quite destructive stands against the enemies.
He further hailed the Hamas efforts to promote solidarity and reinforce resistance during the last Zionist war against Gaza which lasted for 51 days.
Abdollahian said the destiny of Palestine and the necessity of materialization of its righteous cause are of prime importance for Iran.
He stressed that Iran will use all its capacity to support the Palestinian cause against the Zionist regime actions.
The Hamas official hailed Iran’s supreme relations with his organization and termed as unique and important role of Tehran in regional developments as well as to the Palestinian resistance.
He said the Palestinian resistance groups appreciated Iran’s strategic ties with the Jihadi groups as an honor and said Iran’s support was a source inspiration for them.
He noted that presently Israel was trying to press Palestinians to gain dominance over the Holy Qods by repelling Palestinians.
He urged all Islamic and Arab countries to render all-out support to Palestine to stop the Zionist regime’s expansionist measures.
As for the situation in Gaza, the Hamas official said the closing of borders to the besieged area has aggravated conditions in the enclave but simultaneously fortified their wills to fight the Zionist enemies.
Commenting on the negative vote of the United Nations Security Council to a draft resolution on Palestine, he said political move in absence of resistance was doomed to fair.
He said such measures will be of no gains in materialization of the Palestinian nation’s rights.
The Hamas member further stressed that his organization with continue to fight for the ultimate rights of the Palestinian nations thanks to the supports it receives from Iran and other countries.
