TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian national football coach Carlos Queiroz said that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is the best west Asian football team.



Iran, which has been one of the most impressive teams at the tournament in Australia, sits second to UAE in Group C heading into the meeting in Brisbane on Monday.

“They’ve played together for many years, since under 17 - some of the players could play with each other with their eyes closed. In my opinion the UAE is the best west Asian team,” former UAE coach said.

“At the moment, we just thinks about the UAE match and it doesn’t matter about other results."

“We will have some changes tomorrow. This is not a do-or-die match and both of teams can show a good performance. We are ready for the match,” the Portuguese coach added.

“They know exactly where the others are, what they do, what they can expect. It’s a beautiful thing to see,” Queiroz concluded.
