Baku, Jan 31, IRNA – Commander of Azerbaijan Republic Border Guards Elcin Quliyev is scheduled to visit Iran in near future.
Iranian Ambassador to Baku Mohsen Pakaein in their Sunday meeting invited the Azeri official on behalf of the Iranian Border Guards Commander Qasem Rezaie.
General Quliev accepted the invitation and expressed hope to visit Iran during the second week of February, 2015.
He said that the Iran-Azerbaijan border is the border of friendship and brotherhood between the two countries, expressing delight that currently the two countries' relations are the best example of peaceful coexistence, friendship, and constructive cooperation.
Ambassador Pakaein, too, said that the Azerbaijani commander's visit of Iran will contribute to strengthening border security and effective encountering against narcotic drugs and human trafficking.
He also said that joint campaign against organized crime, holding joint training courses and exchange of experience are among the other objectives of the visit.
