TEHRAN (FNA)- Iran's Ambassador to Sarajevo Hossein Rajabi and Chairman of Bosnian House of Representatives Šefik Džaferovi? voiced their countries' readiness to expand bilateral parliamentary ties.
The Iranian ambassador conveyed a congratulatory message of Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani on the appointment of Šefik Džaferovi? as the new Chairman of the House of Representatives, and voiced his country's willingness to develop mutual parliamentary cooperation along with cooperating at international fora.
He also cited exchange of visits between the two speakers of parliament, exchange of parliamentary friendship groups, exchange of delegations and sharing experience about legislation as topics on the agenda in talks between the two nations.
For his part, Šefik Džaferovi? expressed the readiness of Bosnia and Herzegovina parliament to broaden Sarajevo-Tehran parliamentary relations.
Iran and Bosnia and Herzegovina have made abundant efforts to develop their bilateral relations and mutual cooperation in recent years.
In May 2010, Iranian and Bosnian officials signed several memoranda of understanding (MoUs) on economic cooperation at the end of the first meeting of the two countries' joint economic commission in Sarajevo.
