TEHRAN, Mar. 14 (MNA) – Iranian deputy-FM says following the talks with Saudi Arabian officials, visa issuance for Iranian pilgrims would be accelerated as of Saturday.
Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian expressed optimism that technical obstacles hindering visa issuance would have been solved as promised by high-ranking Saudi officials residing in Tehran and Mashhad.
Amir-Abdollahian also expressed hope that the process of issuing visa for Iranian pilgrims interested in performing Umrah Hajj pilgrimage during Iranian New Year holidays would be accelerated as soon as this Saturday.
In recent weeks, Iranian nationals who had applied for pilgrimage visa to Saudi Arabia faced problems as the procedure according to Saudi officials has been going on slowly due to technical problems and lack of enough staff.
