TEHRAN (FNA)- Israeli officials are furious at Iran due to Tehran's powerful victories on the stage of international diplomacy, Vice-President for Parliamentary Affairs Majid Ansari said Monday.

"Today, the world public opinion has come to realize and recognize the Iranian people's right, and the anger shown by the Zionist regime, specially its prime minister (Benjamin Netanyahu), is an indication of the success of the Iranian diplomats," Ansari said.

Stressing that Iranian diplomats and negotiators in nuclear talks with the world powers defend the country's rights bravely and logically, he said, "Even if the other side doesn’t give into the Iranian nation's logic, the Islamic Iran will be the winner of this arena and we will continue our path."

Ansari also referred to the successes gained by Iran in the region, and said today Iranian commanders are highly honored in the region as countries like Iraq have managed to gain victory against the Takfiri groups as a result of the military advice and consultations provided by these commanders.

"Today, the Islamic Republic of Iran is the source of stability, security and hope in the region," he underlined.

His comments came after Netanyahu's recent controversial anti-Iran speech at the US Congress during which he threatened to take action against Iran's peaceful nuclear program.

In relevant remarks earlier this month, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Hassan Firouzabadi underscored that the hostile remarks made by Netanyahu against Iran during his address to the US Congress displayed the depth of Israel's fright.

"Such words are made by Israel and the Zionist occupiers because they know that they are getting collapsed and they are not just hated by all Muslims and feel much worried in every aspect in this region, but also have lost the world people's support; thus, they naturally scream," Firouzabadi told reporters in Tehran.

Stressing that no problems in the region could be settled without Iran's partnership, he said, "We don’t see any threat posed to Iran, but the enemy threatens (us) when it feels fear."

Stressing Iran's policy of friendship with the neighboring countries, Firouzabadi said, "We support them and don’t pose any threat to them."

He underlined Iran's special support for Iraq's security, and said, "Iran is not seeking any special self-interest in Iraq as we assume Iraq's security and honor as our own security and honor."

Firouzabadi also dismissed allegations about dispatch of Iranian soldiers to Iraq, stressing that Tehran would not have any such plan for future either.

Elsewhere, he reiterated that Iran doesn’t need nuclear weapons, and said, "It is in the interest of the westerners to approach Iran through reconciliation and reach agreement with the country."
