Tehran, March 25, IRNA – Iran's nuclear negotiating team headed by Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif left Tehran for Lausanne, Switzerland, to attend another round of talks with Group 5+1.
The Iranian negotiators had intensive talks from March 15 to 20 with the US delegation in Lausanne and with three foreign ministers of Group 5+1 in Brussels, Belgium.
Zarif accompanied by his deputies Majid Takht-e-Ravanchi and Seyed Abbas Araqchi went to Brussels on March 16, 2015 upon invitation of the EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini to discuss issues of mutual interests with German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Foreign Minister of Britain Philip Hammond and Foreign Minister of France Laurent Fabius.
Intensive talks between Iran and the USA in presence of the European Union ( EU) representative Helga Schmidt and Head of Atomic Energy Organization of Iran Ali Akbar Salehi and US Energy Secretary Ernest Moniz started on March 17, but it ceased on March 20, 2015 , when both sides felt they needed few days of recess for further coordination among the negotiating parties.
The new round of nuclear talks is to start from Thursday March 26 in Lausanne and continues until Sunday March 29.
