Tehran, March 25, IRNA – Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on Wednesday condoled with the Iranian media community on demise of two Iranian sport reporters in a plane crash which killed 150 people on Tuesday.
The foreign minister also expressed sympathy with the families of the victims.
Foreign Ministry on Wednesday confirmed that two Iranian sport reporters were onboard an Airbus A320 plane operated by budget airline Germanwings which crashed into a remote area of the French Alps.
The plane was en route to Dusseldorf, Germany, from Barcelona in Spain when it crashed in the Alpines on Tuesday.
It was carrying 150 people, including two pilots and four crew members.
Milad Hojjatoleslami and Hossein Javadi, sports reporters from Tasnim news agency and Vatan-e Emrouz daily, had traveled to Spain to cover the football match between Real Madrid and Barcelona.
They were also due to cover news of Iran's friendly games against Chile and Sweden which are to be played in Austria and Stockholm respectively.
