TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The vice speaker of the Czech Republic's parliament is to pay an official visit to Tehran in the coming days to hold talks on ways to boost bilateral relations between the two countries.
Heading a high-ranking delegation, the Czech lawmaker is slated to make the trip to Tehran on Sunday, April 12, at the invitation of Mohammad Hassan Aboutorabi-Fard, Iranian parliament's vice-speaker.
During their three-day visit, the Czech parliamentarians plan to meet with a number of Iranian officials, including Aboutorabi-Fard and Chairman of the Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi.
Earlier this year, Head of the Iran-Czech Parliamentary Friendship Group Vahid Ahmadi and a Czech envoy to Tehran Petr Stepanek discussed ways to boost the two countries' parliamentary ties.
During the meeting in Tehran on January 11, Ahmadi highlighted the two countries’ potentials and capabilities that have paved the way for the expansion of friendly relations between Iran and the Czech Republic in all fields.
