Maryam Amir Kamali has become the first woman in the history of Iranian football league who owns a soccer club, while Iranian women are not allowed to enter the stadiums to watch football matches.
As the first Iranian female team-owner, Maryam Amir Kamali has taken over "Nassaji Mazandaran" which is currently in the First league.
Mrs. Amirkamali who is said to be a psychologist was present at Nassaji Mazandaran exercise yesterday afternoon, expressing that she will be trying to bring the team back to its heyday.
It is hoped that in the country that women are not legally allowed to attend stadiums to watch the football matches, a female football club-owner can be successful.
