TEHRAN April 26(Shana)--A five-member Chinese delegation has visited petrochemical plants in Mahshahr Port, governor of Mahshahr Port said.

“During this visit, construction of joint industrial park by Iran and China in Mahshahr Park was discussed,” Mansour Qamar said.

He said that the Iranian government welcomes joint venture projects with China particularly in petrochemical sector in Mahshahr.

Qamar said China is Iran’s strategic economic partner, and called for private sector involvement in Mahshahr’s petrochemical projects.

Mahshahr Economic Petrochemical zone, with the annual production of 16 million tons of petrochemicals, is the leading producer of petrochemicals in the Middle East.
