Tehran, May 9, IRNA – Deputy director of the 28th Tehran International Book Fair said Saturday that as much as half a million people have visited the book fair in the past three days since opening.
Amir Masoud Shahramnia told IRNA that some 50,000 people visited Tehran Book Fair on the first day and 200,000 people and 300,000 people visited the event on the second and third days respectively.
He said the statistics suggest that the number of visitors have doubled compared with statistics from the previous year.
The 28th Tehran International Book Fair opened on Tuesday and will work until May 16.
More than 2,800 foreign publishers from 65 countries are present at this event.
