Mahak’s 68th charity bazaar in support for cancer children is slated for May 27-28 between 10:00 – 20:00 at Mahak’s Hospital and Rehabilitation Center in Darabad, Tehran.
The “Mahak Society to Support Children with Cancer,” a non-governmental organization dedicated to helping children, was established in 1991 by Saideh Ghods. The NGO helps children with cancer.
The society is funded entirely by donations and has supported 11,505 children suffering from cancer in the past 17 years. The 18,000 sq. m rehab center and hospital in the north of Tehran was completed in 2003 and is equipped to accommodate up to 120 children, each with a family member. The rehab center has diagnostic and treatment wards on par with global standards.
