Iran’s environment chief said Saturday that Tehran and Baghdad have launched a joint project to tackle the problems related to dust storms in an Iraqi region.
Masoumeh Ebtekar further said she and her Iraqi counterpart have decided in a meeting to identify dust centers in the Iraqi region and launch efforts to overcome the problem.
She also said under an agreement inked last year, the two neighbors were due to eliminate dust centers, but there are security problems standing in the way.
