Tehran, June 3, IRNA – President of Russian energy giant Lukoil, Vagit Alekperov, has announced that he will meet Iran's Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zangeneh on the sidelines of the 167th Ordinary OPEC Meeting in Vienna on Friday.
Alekperov will also meet Iraqi oil minister.
OPEC will hold a session in Vienna on Friday to discuss policy on their oil production in next six months.
Certain OPEC and non-OPEC oil officials hold meetings on the sidelines of the meeting.
T he heads of delegation of the member countries of the Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) will reportedly arrive in the OPEC Secretariat in Vienna on Friday, June 5, for OPEC‘s 167th Meeting of the Conference.
Ministers of the OPEC countries, chief executives of international oil companies and industry experts will meet at the ordinary meeting to agree on the ground rules for oil production. Accounting for around 40 per cent of global oil output, OPEC currently comprises 12 members: Algeria, Angola, Ecuador, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Libya, Nigeria, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Venezuela.
