In the context of the E3/EU+3's efforts to complete work on a comprehensive, long-term solution to the Iranian nuclear issue within the agreed timeframe, EU Political Director Helga Schmid and Iranian Deputy Foreign Ministers Abbas Araghchi and Madjid Takht Ravanchi will meet again today, 23 June, in Vienna.

It follows a political meeting in Luxembourg yesterday between the E3 Foreign Ministers (Franz-Walter Stenmeier, DE; Laurent Fabius, FR; Philip Hammond, UK) and the Iranian Foreign Minister, Javad Zarif, chaired by EU High Representative Federica Mogherini.

They will be joined by E3+3 Political Directors later this week. Technical experts from the E3/EU+3 and Iran are continuing to meet in parallel to reach agreement on the technical annexes, which will form part of any comprehensive agreement.

We also thank the Austrian government for hosting the negotiations at political level in Vienna.
