Tehran, June 24, IRNA – Mexico Ambassador to Tehran said on Wednesday that international sanctions created limitations for trade ties and lowered level of trade between Iran and Mexico.
Olisus Kanjula Gutiress made the remarks in a meeting with deputy head of Iran's Chamber of Commerce for international affairs Ali Akbar Farazi.
He reminded his visit to northern provinces of Gilan and Mazandaran to consider trade and tourism potentials of the two provinces.
He said that capacities of Anzali Free Trade Zone and the neighborhood between Gilan and northern neighboring countries of Iran is a suitable opportunity for joint cooperation between private sectors of the two countries.
He said that a visit paid by Mexico Foreign Minister to Iran to sign a Memorandum of Understanding on trade and economy in September 2014 was a turning point.
He said that many of Mexican companies have record of widescale cooperation with Iran in different sections of household appliances, pipes and medicine.
The ambassador announced signing a MoU of an Iranian carmakers with a Mexican partner and said that exchanging trade delegation and information about business requirements and economic positions between the two countries can play an important role in development of economic ties.
