Tehran, June 25, The Iran Project – Iranian lawmaker Gholamreza Mesbahi-Moghadam stressed on the impact of removing the leader of reform movement from political scene on the upcoming parliamentary elections.
Pointing to the political problem (media ban) of the reformists’ leader Mohammad Khatami, Spokesman of the Combatant Clergy Association, Gholamreza Mesbahi-Moghadam said his removing can have a great effect on the result of the upcoming parliamentary elections.
Mesbahi-Moghadam went on to say “if reformists want to seriously compete in the elections, they must make the border between reformists and sedition leaders clear."
“The media is not allowed to reflect the image or statement of the head of the reformist government,” Judiciary Spokesman Gholam Hossein Mohseni-Ejei said earlier, in a clear reference to the former President of Iran, Mohammad Khatami.
