The American and Polish volleyball teams both booked themselves a spot in the finals of the 2015 FIVB World League after Poland beat the US on home soil.
In the 8th week of the tournament, in Pool B, Poland lined up against the US. In the sensitive showdown, which had a direct impact on the fate of the Iranian national team, Poland beat America 3-2.
The US and Polish squads have now qualified to advance on eight victories each. That means Iran will finish third in Pool B and won't go through to the finals.
The Iranian team lines up against Russia for its final match in the league later on Saturday.
