On the sidelines of the Tehran International Qur’an Exhibition, Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Ali Jannati said the Tehran Book Garden and Sacred Defense Garden Museum, located in Abbas-Abad Hills in north-central Tehran, will host the 29th Tehran International Book Fair (TIBF).
About 130,000 sq m of the complex will be assigned to the book exhibition. The location is gearing up for upcoming exhibitions and 50,000 sq m has been allocated for the 23rd Int’l Qur’an Exhibition (June 24-July 14).
More effort must be made to cover the entire space for the exhibition, Jannati said.
The Tehran Int’l Quran Exhibition, earlier held at the Mosalla (prayer ground), has been relocated to the complex. The cultural environment of the complex draws more visitors, he added.
Jannati also welcomed different Qur’anic activities taking place on the sidelines of the exhibition. Assigning a permanent secretariat as well as establishing a committee at the ministry to develop Qur’anic culture, are important measures taken to support the event.
