TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran swept past Germany in straight sets (25-14, 25-18, 25-22) and advanced to the 2015 FIVB Volleyball Boys’ U19 World Championship quarters on Wednesday.
Aghchehli Rasoul scored 15 points to give the Iranian team the ticket to the next round.
German Moritz Rauber led the German resistance with 9 points.
Iran will now have to deal with Italy, that overcame France in a 5-set match played in Resistencia.
The French will be Germany’s next opponents, staying in Resistencia for the loser’s part of the draw.
