TEHRAN (ISNA)- Turkmenistan, China and Kazakhstan have called for using Iran’s railroads, said Director General of Northeast Railway of Iran Mohammad-Reza Ghorbani.
“Incheh Borun-Turkmenistan railroad is capable of transferring 3.5 million tons of shipment annually. The capacity will rise to 10 million tons in the next plan,” he said.
“Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan have expressed their readiness for transferring shipment from this route. China with 50 million tons of shipment has also called for the transit path as well,” he said.
Ghorbani also said that Incheh Borun-Gorgan railway connected to Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan is the most important, shortest and the most economical railroad in Iran.
Many Commonwealth of Independent States have expressed their readiness for shipment transit from this path.
