TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iranian national volleyball team's head coach Slobodan Kovac is hopeful that his team be able to get a good a result against Poland in the first round of the FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Cup on Saturday.
Iran outclassed Venezuela in straight sets (25-20, 25-17, 25-15) to grab back-to-back wins in the first round of the competition on Thursday.
"I want my players to give their maximum in every game. In our first two matches, they maybe came on court tired, thinking it would be easy. We beat Argentina 3-0 in the World Championship, while Tunisia doesn’t have such a big name, so we went on court like someone would give us the win," Kovac said.
“It’s not like that. We must try to fight every time."
"Today was the first time we went on court with good, positive energy and when we start to play like that, it’s difficult for everybody to play against us," the Serbian coach added.
