Tehran, October 6, The Iran Project – According to the latest statistics issued by Muslim countries, the death toll plus missing pilgrims in recent disaster reached 2950 Muslim pilgrims.
The Hajj pilgrimage related departments of each Muslim country separately published the latest statistics of its own nationals' victims, accounting the latest number of the missing, wounded and the deceased pilgrims. The details in chart indicate that the largest numbers of victims are from Iran, Egypt and Indonesia, with 464, 138 and 95 dead pilgrims respectively.
Earlier, the Saudi Arabia Health Ministry officially announced that the primary statistics indicated 169 deaths; however the final number has reached 4173 deaths. Although the news was instantly deleted from the website, some press news managed to take a screen shot. So it is expected that the following statistics continue to rise in coming days.
