TEHRAN, Nov. 08 (MNA) – Iran’s deputy-FM for Arab and African affairs has told UN Secretary-General special envoy to Yemen only constructive cooperation by regional players would bring solution to Yemen.
Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed discussed on Sunday the latest developments in Yemen, where Amir-Abdollahian said that for any solution for Yemen, “all political groups engaged in the conflict and regional players from other countries should sit in a constructive dialogue.”
Cheikh Ahmed, for his part, said that he had been working in the latest efforts to bring all engaged parties to Geneva for political negotiation, and called all effective players in the country to join the UN initiative to hold direct talks with all Yemeni groups attending.
