Czech appreciates Iran aid to rescue climbers

Sari, Mazandaran, Nov 11, IRNA – Czech Republic's Embassy in Tehran appreciated the humanitarian aid by Iran's Red Crescent Society to rescue two Czech citizens suffering from frostbite at Alborz Mountains.

The two Czech brothers got caught at the northern Iranian Mountains of Alborz and were suffering from frostbite.

Managing Director of Mazandaran Red Crescent Society Mehdi Valipour told IRNA that the aid workers were dispatched to the place soon after they received help demand from the emergency telephone number '112'.

When finding the climbers, the aid workers transported them to the hospital, said he.

Damavand, the highest peak in Iran with an altitude of 5,610 meters (18,410 feet) is located in the middle of Alborz Mountains.
