TEHRAN, Nov. 15 (MNA) – An MoU has been hammered out by the good offices of Islamic Republic of Iran’s Army Ground Forces Studies and Research Center, with University of Tehran as a party.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Brig. Gen. Ahmadreza Pourdastan, Commander of Ground Forces (NEZAJA) and Mahmoud Nili Ahmadabadi, President of University of Tehran. The MoU seeks to bridge the gap in the relationship between academic and research centers and to fully use the elite capacities left in abeyance for an ultimate sublime objective of improving the place of the science in the Army.
Nili Ahmadabadi told the meeting in a brief address that the University of Tehran had signed MoUs with different government bodies to take effective steps to bring university academic capacities to flourish to help advance the research and knowledge production; “the merely bringing the two bodies with huge distance in terms of functions is a feat of excellence in global level,” he added.
Brig. Gen. Ahmadreza Pourdastan, for his part, said that the MoU would share capacities of Army Ground Forces in helicoptering, fighter tank manufacturing, drone manufacturing, mechanics, and other fields with the University of Tehran, “to serve university students in their needs.”
