TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli on Monday said Iran strongly denounces all types of terrorist attacks anywhere in the world.
Iran condemns any act of terrorism that injures or kills any innocent human being anywhere in the world, Rahmani Fazli said in a press conference here in Tehran.
“It does not matter whether such incidents (terrorist attacks) claim the lives of Syrian, Arab, and Lebanese people or they happen in Paris,” he added.
The Iranian minister further criticized the view that terrorism can be divided into “good” and “bad” categories, saying that the lives of all people, whether Arab, Persian, Turkish or European, are equally valuable.
“Honest international cooperation” is the “best way” to fight terrorism, Rahmani Fazli underlined, urging all countries to consider terrorism as a “serious threat” and to take coordinated actions against it.
His comments came after a string of terrorist attacks killed at least 132 people and wounded dozens of others in Paris on Friday night when gunmen and suicide bombers attacked restaurants, a concert hall and a sports stadium at six different locations across the French capital.
A day earlier, at least 43 people were killed and more than 200 others injured after two explosions struck the General Security Post in Hussaineya Street in Borj al-Barajneh neighborhood, southern Beirut.
The ISIL terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the deadly attacks in both cities.
