The Australian ambassador to Tehran has announced that the Australian Trade Commission will send a delegation to Iran next year to resume trade ties between Canberra and Tehran.
His comments come despite the fact that the US House of Representatives’ new Visa Waiver law has caused restrictions for those who travel to Iran, Iraq, Syria and Sudan.Paul Foley told Masoud Khansari, the president of Tehran Chamber of Commerce, “Australia does not care about the restrictions and is planning the visit of a trade delegation to Tehran, and at the same time it is counting on the promise of the US secretary of state that the US administration will not implement this new law.”
