Tehran, January 11, The Iran Project – Vice-President for Science and Technology says Iran allocated an unprecedented share of the country next year budget to research, noting support to the leading university professors.
Sorena Sattari, Iranian Vice-President for Science and Technology and President of the National Elites Foundation made the remarks on Monday in the ceremony to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Sharif University of Technology establishment and to honor the university's prominent professors and researchers.
Referring to Iran's next year proposed budget and unprecedented share of research, he highlighted the government decision to extend support of the leading professors in universities.
He also stressed the unique role of universities, adding that expertise human resources are considered the most valuable capital of each country which are needed to be reserved and appreciated in an appropriate way.
Earlier Sharif University of Technology unveiled several technological projects including Hardware Security Module (HSM), Teb Net Project (a healthcare application and gadget), artificial skin and a vertical-flying drone named Hodhod-3 (Hoopoe) in a ceremony attended by Soorena Sattari, Iran’s Vice President for Science and Technology Affairs.
