Tehran, Jan 21, IRNA – Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif said in a meeting with representative of Oman's Sultan Qaboos that Iran favors excellent relations with all its neighbors and promotion of regional peace and stability, spending efforts in both fields.
Speaking with Oman's representative Salem al-Ismail on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Zarif and the Omani official exchanged viewpoints on bilateral ties and regional developments.
The Iranian foreign minister highlighted the significance of relations with the Islamic and neighboring countries in the foreign policy of the Islamic Republic noting that Iran is trying to improve its bilateral relations with its neighboring states and provide peace and stability in the region.
'We also hope thanks to the existence of lots of common stands between Tehran and Oman in various political and diplomatic fields we will be witnesses to comprehensive expansion of bilateral ties and cooperation,' he added.
The representative of Oman's Sultan Qaboos, too, voiced Oman's readiness for expansion of comprehensive relations with Iran and spoke in particular about further development of ties in certain fields of mutual interest as Muscat's higher priorities.
