TEHRAN (Tasnim) – President of Iran Football Federation Ali Kaffashian said that Carlos Queiroz will not resign as the Iranian national football team (Team Melli) coach.
The Portuguese announced on Friday that he will step down from his post on May 1 due to some problems in the federation.
Kaffashian said that Queiroz will continue his job.
“Queiroz is worrying about the future of Team Melli. He says he wants the facility to prepare the team and I must have the facilities available until May," he said.
"He has said he will resign if we cannot provide the facilities and it’s reasonable,” Kaffashian said.
“I believe that he is right and we should make the facilities available since Team Melli is preparing for the 2018 World Cup qualification,”he noted.
