Tehran, Feb 17, IRNA – A Greek minister said tourism industry can be a good ground for exchange of cultural commonalities between Athens and Tehran that can lead to intimacy between the two nations.
Visiting Greek Alternate Minister for Tourism Ms. Elena Kountoura made the remarks in a meeting with Massoud Soltanifar, Head of Iran's Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization.
Referring to cordial relations between Greece and Iran and ancient civilizations of both countries, Ms. Kountoura said the two can broaden bilateral ties.
She pointed out to presence of Greek corporations in the international tourism exhibition in Iran as an effective step towards expansion of cooperation.
She said Greece should be introduced to the Iranian people, adding Athens has useful experiences in the area of tourism.
She further stressed importance of facilitation of issuing visa between the two countries.
Media can play leading role in introducing tourist attractions of both nations to each others, she added.
